Beers Served

At The Church-Key Pub & Grindhouse, we are proud to serve a range of our own beers and other Ontario craft Beers.

Church-Key Northumberland Ale

Pours a nice deep golden-amber colour. It has a sweet, toasted malt aroma with a honey-like tone, an earthy character and a freshwater note to it. This Ale is light-bodied and well-balanced. This stock-style ale modelled after those popular in Eastern Ontario in the 1940-50’s is quite dry at first before sweetened toasted malt comes through on the tongue.

Church-Key West Coast Pale Ale

An American style pale ale pours a clear copper colour with a medium-sized tan head that leaves a nice bit of lace on the glass. Church-Key West Coast Pale Ale has a very fresh aroma led by grains and floral Chinook hops. There’s a bright citrus (grapefruit) bite and a honey-like sweetness to be found as well.

Church-Key Holy Smoke Scotch Ale

A peat smoked Scotch ale. This unique brews heart is that 10% of the malt is kilned over a peat fire, giving beautiful, deep rich smoky tones to the beer. It pours dark brown with a light tan head. It is low in hop bitterness and its profile is dominated by the sweet and smoky malts.

Church-Key Red (Irish Red Ale)

This deep ruby red coloured gem offers a wonderful sweet soft malty nose with delicate toasted qualities and slight creamy notes. A medium bodied ale that focuses on flavourful toasted malt characteristics lending subtle caramel-like sweetness, along with an enjoyable effervescence, allowing for a clean and dry finish.

Beau’s Lug•Tread

Brewed by Beau’s All Natural Brewing Company, Lug•Tread is a golden-hued, crisp and finely balanced tribute to the classic beer of Cologne, Germany. Lug•Tread is top fermented (like an ale) and then cold aged (like a lager) for a lengthy period. This gives our beer some light ale notes complemented by a lager-like crispness. Lug• Tread displays interwoven malt and hop flavours, subtle fruit flavours and a crisp, lingering finish.

Muskoka Cream Ale

First brewed by Muskoka Brewery in 1996, their flagship Muskoka Cream Ale has since become a signature beer of the Muskoka region. Unmistakable with its rich amber colour and inviting floral tones, this laid-back English pub-style ale is smooth and easy-going.

Publican House Ale

Brewed by The Publican House Brewery in Peterborough, Ontario, This full flavoured ale has unique Pilsner attributes, creating well balanced malt and hop character. This crisp beer has a layered complexity, with biscuit and apricot notes.

Gateway Blond Ale

Inspired by the beers of the Cologne region of Germany, Gateway Brewing Company’s Blonde Ale is a light, refreshing ale, pleasantly finished with blend of a variety of European hops.

Lake of Bays Top Shelf Lag

This North American Lager by Lake of Bays Brewing Company, pours with a nice light, straw colour and vibrant white foam. The aromas are led by fresh cut grass and green tea with a touch of citrus and honey. The flavours are light and slightly sweet which leads to a smooth, easy to drink and refreshing finish.
